Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Waewae and Te Rūnanga o Makaawhio welcome residents and visitors to Westland to Arahura Marae to commemorate Waitangi Day 2021.

The day begins with a Powhiri at 10.30 am followed by family friendly activities, kai and guest speakers who will discuss Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the history of Te Tai Poutini from a Poutini Nga Tahu perspective.

Kai – food is an important part of the Pōwhiri process and to assist us with catering please register your interest on Facebook or contact waitangiday2021@westlanddc.govt.nz.
