Let’s Talk About Lids

Recycling information about plastic can be confusing, even when you take the time to check to see what number plastic it is!

The things to remember about plastic lids:

  • Only plastic lids numbered 1, 2 and 5 are recyclable.
  • Lids need to be separate from the bottle when you put them in the recycling bin.
  • If the lid doesn’t have a number on it, put it in the rubbish bin.
