isite – September School Holidays

The September school holidays provided the perfect opportunity to partner with the Hokitika Community Trust for a fun and educational Treasure Hunt, celebrating the vibrant art scene throughout our Hokitika Central Business District.

Hokitika is home to a stunning collection of sculpture installations, many proudly supported by Westland Arts Incorporated (WAI). Families embarked on an adventure through our retail and heritage district, following the trail to discover these artworks, solve clues, and learn about the stories behind each piece.

With nearly 200 children taking part, the event was a fantastic success and supports celebrating our talented local artisans. It’s a wonderful way to engage Tamariki and visitors alike, blending creativity, education, and community spirit while exploring the heart of Hokitika.

A huge thank you to the Hokitika Community Trust for their support in this fantastic offering
